Jane Coleman established her dance school in Burwash with just a handful of students in 1979. Her excellent teaching abilities, enthusiasm and kind nature soon had pupils arriving from surrounding villages and farther afield.

Jane built the dance school into one of the leading schools in the area with students being taught styles varying from Classical Ballet to Street Jazz, all with wonderful technique. Former students have gone on to further professional training in The Royal Ballet School, Arts Educational, Rose Bruford, Trinity Laban and Elmhurst Ballet School.

After Jane's passing, her family turned to Jane's friends and colleagues Rachel Elliott  and Katie Dahlstedt to continue the school. An honour we have proudly and gratefully accepted.

We both share the same passion and love of dance and want every person that walks through our doors to feel welcome, inspired and leave with a sense of achievement. Whilst we encourage hard work and dedication, we also aim for every student to enjoy themselves and develop a love of dancing for life.

We are continually looking at new ways to inspire and encourage our dancers, whether through introducing them to a new dance style or giving new goals to work for via exams or performances.

Being based in Burwash, Robertsbridge, Stonegate, Catsfield and Hawkhurst allows us to cover a wide area with the dance school and every student  is part of our wonderful dancing family!
